John has been a member of the E-Type Register Committee since 1984 and became Chairman in 1990. He has a wife, three children and a considerable ‘litter’ of Jaguars – all of which need attention. His daughters, Charlene together with husband Simon, and Alexandra, all drive Jaguars with similar verve and élan as John – a team to be reckoned with!

John’s technical knowledge, which is very much in demand and of which he is freely willing to give, spans E-Types from early Series I 3.8s through to Series III V12s, Mark VIIs, Mark 10s, XJ6s and XJ-Ss. He has rebuilt all, or parts, of every one himself – as a hobby!

John and Susan, his wife, have enjoyed all of the Commemorative Tours, and John annually ‘opens’ the Hill at Prescott for E-Type Days.

John also runs a shop specialising in batteries, alternators and starter motors.
