Hello from sunny Australia - sorry!
Can you tell me what plans are being hatched to celebrate the 50th birthday for the wonderful E Type?
I expec that there will be a special event at Goodwood - festival of speed maybe??

I am hoping to bring my 63 Roadster over to visit her relatives and help celebrate
All the best for the silly season

Hi from cold Germany!

The same question comes up from me. The expectation is a separate party, probably in summer / June 2011. Is there already a date we should mark in the calendar?

Best wishes for the new year

Hi, Graeme and Bill (from cold UK!)

We are liaising with Jaguar Heritage to ensure we do not have clashing events and to give JH support where we can since we have contacts with so many owners.

Currently, I understand that JH are planning a series of races, exclusively for E Types and other events.

Our main activity will be a Tour from the UK through / around France to Geneva and plans are well advanced for this. Approximate date is 25th June departure. We are currently aiming for 50 cars.

We have an annual Track Day at Goodwood on the first Monday of May (Bank Holiday Monday in UK) and we are looking at upgrading that event.

Do keep watching the magazines (Jaguar Driver) and the web sites and keep in touch. As you can gather, plans are still quite fluid but I'm sure there will be quite a few events throughout the year.

Thankyou for the information David

Gan you give me the latest update on how plans are progressing?
The tour through the UK and Geneva sounds like a must do event.

I am particularly interested in what plans are in place for Goodwood
Thanks Graeme

Hi David,
I've been restoring my 62 Coupe in readiness for the 50th Anniversary believing it was to be held in June/July as was the 20th Anniversary (which I attended) I turned cold when I saw the latest web site entry which says it's now being held in Feb/Mar. Can you confirm when the Geneva trip actually takes place please. If it is Feb/Mar (ugh! the weather will be shocking) I'll have to get a move on. Any further details yet please.
Thanks in advance.
Howard
